今日惊悉再也见都不到海燕大姐了，十分难过！
回想起我们一起在印尼参加国际行政院校联合会的日子，还有在北京，在国家行政学院一起合作的日子，十分怀念！
一直期盼她的勇敢和开朗能帮她战胜病魔，没想到上次北京的相聚竟成了永诀！

It was shaked me, how I can believe she passed away, sicne I met her in Novermber 2012 in Baku, the 7th IGF!
Haiyan was one of my close friends. Experiences in the meeting of Geneva, Tunis, USA, Brazil, Malasia, Indian, Egypt, China duirng the last more than ten years, we enjoy the discussions on open knowledge environment not only in scientific communty but all of the socieity. She dedicated herself to the UNPAN network for public services. So many helps from her which made me success in many ways.
I miss her and I sincerely wish her peace with love from all of us forever!

惊悉海燕逝世，令人难以置信！去年11月在阿塞拜疆大会上还见到她热心地工作，怎么这么快就走了！
海燕是我的老朋友，十年前，我在参加世界信息峰会（WSIS）日内瓦会议、突尼斯会议后，在GAID框架下启动了发展中国家科学数据共享与应用的实施计划，先后在美国硅谷、纽约、马拉西亚、巴西、印度、埃及、日内瓦、中国上海、北京等地多次得到海燕的支持和帮助，她兢兢业业为联合国经社事务部公共行政和发展的工作，向世界各国、各界人士宣传联合国精神、热情为大家提供帮助、诚信做大家的朋友的点点滴滴的仿佛就在昨天！
海燕去世，令人惋惜、十分悲痛！此时此刻，难以表达对海燕万分留念之情，海燕她将永远活在我的心中！

Although I haven’t worked directly with Ms. Qian, I came to know her via social gathering and I am deeply inspired by her enthusiasm and devotion to her work, colleagues and compatriots. The news of Qian, Haiyan’s passing away came as a great shock. Qian is a great person, a dedicated professional who has worked diligiently to promote public administration and policy activities on behalf of the United Nations. I have known her for quite a few years starting from the time when she was working as regular staff member in UN and met her, participated in the panel she organized in various conferences and seminars. Her dedication and hardworking spirit had always impressed me. Her efforts and that of her former leader have greatly advanced public administration activities in UN. It was only one year since I last saw her in New York city. Although she was very ill at that time, she still took time to meet with me and my delegation, showed us around the United Nations, explained to us how UN works and where international leaders meet. We were all deeply touched by her enthusiam, her affection for UN, and love for world peace and her own motherland. She is a fine representative of the people from China and a true international person who has the entire world in her mind. I and my friends deeply regret the loss of such a great friend and an exemplary UN employee. We shall miss her speeches, wisdoms, and great friendship at various international conferences. May her family and relatives accept my deepest condolences. May her smile and hardwork working image stay with us forever. Dear Ms. Qian, we shall remember you forever.

I have not had a lot of contact with Haiyan as I mostly worked in the field in the recent past. I learned from Chinese colleagues that Haiyan was in ill health after I returned to New York. But when I met her on various occasions, she never had a word of complaint and pessimism. She always kept her spirits high and dedicated herself to the service of the United Nations. This, I am sure, is how we should remember her!

I have known Haiyan for more than 20 years, as our daughters attended the same kindergarten and later a music school together. She will always remain in my mind a vibrant, spirited woman, full of enthusiasm and vitality. Up until very recently. I was in contact with Haiyan regarding initiatives related to academic exchanges and cultural events. Her sudden tragic passing has left me in shock and greatly saddened.
